On Friday, July 18, 2008, Incheon Technopark held the groundbreaking ceremony for the R&BD (Research & Business Development) Cluster in Songdo International City. The project was launched to create an industrial hub linking research and commercialization in advanced industries such as information technology, biotechnology, and mechatronics. The cluster will include research facilities, urban manufacturing spaces, and support facilities, and is expected to strengthen the foundation for technology development and commercialization through industry-academia-research cooperation and the attraction of high-tech companies.
