On Thursday, September 4, 2008, the Sea and Economy National Assembly Forum held a commemorative seminar for its inauguration under the theme “The Roles and Tasks of Free Economic Zones as a Driving Force in the USD 40,000 Era.” The seminar was organized to discuss the development direction of free economic zones and tasks for institutional improvement, and to explore policy solutions for strengthening national competitiveness. Participants exchanged views on investment attraction, industrial activation, and the creation of international cities in free economic zones.
