On Monday, December 8, 2008, IFEZ signed a memorandum of understanding with Stony Brook University of the State University of New York. The agreement was made to expand the global education and research base in Songdo International City and strengthen the attraction of outstanding overseas universities. Stony Brook University of the State University of New York is a research-oriented university located in New York State in the United States, with academic strengths in a wide range of fields including science and technology and biomedical studies. Going forward, both sides will pursue the establishment of an international campus and academic cooperation.
