On February 26, 2009 (Thursday), IFEZ signed an investment agreement with Mando Hella Electronics. The company plans to build an advanced automobile electronic parts manufacturing facility and a research institute on a 26,526.9㎡ site in Zone 4 of the Songdo Knowledge Information Industrial Complex in Songdo International City. It plans to begin producing advanced automotive electronic components, including ECU (Electronic Control Unit) and DAS (Driver Assistance System), from late 2009. The project is expected to contribute to strengthening the foundation of the future automobile industry and revitalizing related industries. Mando Hella Electronics is an automotive electronics parts company established as a joint venture between Mando Corporation and Germany’s Hella Electronics.
