On March 26, 2009 (Thursday), the Seoul National University-Gachon Medical School Gil Hospital-IFEZ Consortium held a symposium to attract the Korea Brain Research Institute. The symposium was arranged to present Songdo International City as a candidate site for the institute and to share its strengths in brain science research infrastructure and links with medical and educational institutions. The consortium will strengthen its cooperative system in brain science and neuromedicine and is expected to contribute to the creation of an advanced bio-medical research hub and the revitalization of related industries through the future attraction of the institute. Gachon Medical School Gil Hospital is a university hospital with medical, research, and educational functions.
