On April 8, 2009 (Wednesday), Commissioner Heo Yong-seok of the Korea Customs Service and his delegation visited the IFEZ PR Center. The visit was arranged to review the development status of the Incheon Free Economic Zone and its vision for building an international city, and to examine logistics, customs clearance conditions, and the investment environment. At the PR Center, the delegation looked around major development projects in Songdo International City, Yeongjong International City, and Cheongna International City, as well as port-airport connectivity and the environment for attracting foreign investment. The Korea Customs Service is a central administrative agency responsible for customs administration, including import and export clearance, tariff assessment and collection, and anti-smuggling enforcement.
