On May 20, 2009 (Wednesday), IFEZ held the groundbreaking ceremony for Incheon Global Campus. The project was launched to create a joint campus for foreign universities in Songdo International City and to establish a foundation for global higher education and research cooperation. Incheon Global Campus will be developed as an education and research cluster hosting leading overseas universities, with lecture buildings, research facilities, and student support facilities to be built in phases. The project is expected to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of an international education city, fostering global talent, and revitalizing industry-academia-research cooperation.
