On January 28, 2010 (Thursday), Korea Institute of Industrial Technology (KITE) held the signboard unveiling ceremony for the Rare Metal Industry Technology Center at the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology Incheon Research Center located in Songdo International City. The ceremony was held to launch full-scale research on rare metal-related industrial technologies and support functions for companies. The Rare Metal Industry Technology Center will contribute to strengthening the technological competitiveness of key materials, expanding the research and development base, and enhancing the value-added capacity and technological self-reliance of related industries.
