On March 16, 2010 (Tuesday), Incheon Metropolitan City and the Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) signed a memorandum of understanding with CISCO and GDSYS for the construction of a next-generation green internet data center in Songdo International City. The agreement was arranged to build eco-friendly information and communications infrastructure and expand the foundation for the advanced data service industry. CISCO is a company specializing in network and information and communications technologies, and GDSYS is a specialist in data center construction and operation. The planned facility will contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of Songdo International City’s high-tech industries.
