On Thursday, September 9, 2010, IFEZ signed an investment agreement with Iljin Semiconductor Co., Ltd. for the construction of an LED manufacturing facility. Through a joint investment with Japan’s Koyo Group, Iljin Semiconductor Co., Ltd. plans to build the facility in the Knowledge and Information Industry Complex in Songdo International City with a project cost of KRW 18 billion (approximately USD 15.2 million). The investment is expected to expand the production base for light-emitting diode products and help revitalize local industry. Iljin Semiconductor Co., Ltd. is a company that manufactures LED-related products.
