On Tuesday, September 28, 2010, Incheon Metropolitan City signed an agreement with Yonsei University Health System for the construction of Severance International Hospital. Yonsei University Health System plans to build a 1,000-bed international hospital, including 300 beds exclusively for foreign patients, at the Yonsei University International Complex in Zone 7 of Songdo International City. The agreement is expected to expand the foundation for world-class medical services and strengthen the residential environment and global healthcare infrastructure of Songdo International City.
