On Wednesday, September 30, 2026, the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority signed a business agreement for "IFEZ Happy Study Room Season 8" with eight tenant companies in the Incheon Free Economic Zone and the ChildFund Korea Incheon Regional Headquarters. This agreement was arranged as part of a social contribution project to improve the learning environments of children and adolescents from vulnerable housing families in old urban centers. The project will improve wallpaper, flooring, and lighting, and provide furniture such as desks and bookshelves up to KRW 5 million (approximately USD 3,700) per household. This year, eight companies—Merck Korea, ISENVO, HL Mando (HL Klemove), Innertron, TOK Advanced Materials, POSCO A&C, Mitsubishi Elevator Korea, and Hyundai Steel—will participate to improve the study room environments of 13 households. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority expects that this project will enable coexistence with the local community alongside tenant companies and share the growth outcomes of the Incheon Free Economic Zone with old urban centers.
