On Tuesday, October 20, 2026, Incheon Metropolitan City opened the Global Bio Campus Practical Training Center at Yonsei University International Campus to train vaccine and biopharmaceutical workforce from low- and middle-income countries. The event was attended by key figures, including Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO). The training center was established in the SL Vigen Industry-Academia Cooperation Building with a total area of approximately 2,492 square meters. The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority will provide a total of KRW 9 billion (approximately USD 6.7 million), which is expected to enhance practical bio-manufacturing capabilities and contribute to global health security in Songdo International City.
